IRA Newsletter Project: Effective Literacy Website #7
My seventh Effective Literacy Website is Free Children’s Stories at (https://www.freechildrenstories.com).  A literacy site offers free stories to help student become fluent readers.  Each book contains guideline for teachers and parents, explaining the reading skills for the the story.  Stories are design for different age level for kids at age 3 to 5, 5 to 8, 8 to 10, and for middle grade levels.  The programs have rhyming stories and non-rhyming stories that can develop reading skills.  The site made children to learn every day word and every rhyme.  The program provides written program for parents and guardians to make sure that we have everything to support our child’s education in reading and other subject areas.

The program was founded in 2008 and operates on a simple principle that develop reading skills at this highest level. The mission is to over traditional and meaningful storytelling to every child, parents, and teachers.  Daniel Errico who left his career as a bank investment to create freechildrenstories.com founded the program; he has many bestselling children’s ebook with B & N and has books in stores nationwide.  His works made in books, animated films, apps, and even Schiffer Publishing.  He is the creator of the award winning Hulu Orginal Series, and The Braves Knight.  To make things possible, he stories are available online to enhance literacy and free media for kids.  The specific skills are use to help student in understanding the reading and target skills are phonics, early literacy, reading comprehension, and vocabulary.  Children can read the stories that are available for kids to practice their reading skills, comprehension skills, and writing skills.
